After having so much fun working on the 3D Piano project in Unity (see that page for much more detail about the process of this idea), I decided to use the learnings I had made throughout, and take it as an opportunity to re-imagine the project in Unreal Engine. Using many of the fantastic assets available in the Unreal Engine ecosystem, the goals of this remake are to significantly increase the visual polish while also comparing and improving the performance using UE’s Niagara particle system. This is a work in progress, but it already looks rather beautiful. I hope to implement some more parameter-setting user interactions and look forward to updating this page with more info soon!
